Asemaake is pronounced ah-say-ma-kay. Our Ojibwe tribal teachings, asemaa (tobacco) is the first medicine provided to our people. Asemaa has medicinal and spiritual uses. It carries prayers to the Creator. Every new relationship and consultation begins with asemaa.
Asemaake offers authentic, trusted and collaborative leadership in policy, systems and program decisions that impact the health of Native people. Tribal public health challenges need approaches that are based on tribal ways, with community voice and Indigenous public health expertise. We will help you capitalize on your challenges and opportunities to turn them into success stories.
Our approach begins with gaining an understanding of your needs and opportunities. We will work with you to provide the strategy within your organization and beyond to increase your success.
We are a values-centered partner that does this work with respect, love, compassion, and confidentiality. We have one goal in mind: healthy, thriving Native people and communities.
